Elizabeth R. Kapp

Elizabeth “Bette” Kapp is Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor of Charter Trust Company.  She joined the firm in 2001 and is based in our Meredith NH office.

Founded in 1984, Charter Trust Company is a wealth management firm headquartered in Concord NH.  Working confidentially with individuals, families and institutions to: increase wealth through asset allocation, investment management, and charitable giving; and preserve, protect, and transfer wealth through estate planning and business succession strategies, education and philanthropy.  The company manages over $1.6 billion in client assets and acts as fiduciaries for clients in 43 states and 10 countries.

Ms. Kapp attended Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts, the University of New Hampshire in Merrimack, and Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina. She is a graduate of the Southeastern Trust School of Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina and of the American Institute of Banking in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Ms. Kapp’s 25 years experience in banking includes positions at Wachovia Bank, N.A. in Southern Pines, North Carolina, Wachovia Bank of South Carolina, Bank of Boston Connecticut, Union Trust Company in Stamford, Connecticut and Indian Head National Bank in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Ms. Kapp is a member of the board of directors for Kidworks, Inc. in Meredith NH.  She has also served on the National Defense Board of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Executive Board of Cedarcrest Foundation Inc, and the Lions Club International of Keene.  She is currently a Director of Charter Charitable Foundation, a member of the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council, New Hampshire Bankers Association, Meredith Chamber of Commerce, Laconia Country Club, Mallard Cove Association, Meredith Group and an Incorporator with Taylor Community.  She also has been active in Junior Achievement and local Chambers of Commerce where she has lived and worked.
