Have you heard about our successful educational series which we began this past spring?
In March 2014 our Town Trustee Services team started this series for new and existing Town, Cemetery, and Library Trustees. We traveled to each county in our state with the purpose of providing Trustees, in a small group setting, the information they need to successfully fulfill their duties.
We designed these seminars to be just one-hour long – although we are more than happy to stay longer and did so many times in the first round.
Beginning this fall we will tackle our second topic – Investments. This will include the types of investments you can have for different town funds’ (i.e. cemetery, trust funds, capital reserves, and library trust funds.) We will also discuss the difference between the Prudent Investor and Prudent Man rules, the importance of an Investment Policy Statement, and much more.
Dates & locations for this second series have been set and can be found on our website at chartertrust.com/events.
